Ruby-crowned Kinglet
/Had some fun today chasing this Ruby-crowned Kinglet through the trees.
I have photographed a Ruby-crowned Kinglet before but never in my own yard. I certainly wasn’t expecting to see one when I was sitting on the front porch but there it was flittering around. It landed just across from me, providing this great opportunity for a shot in our Willow Tree.
Bonus - The Willow Tree is starting to show buds, I hadn’t noticed. Spring is starting to appear!
This is the Ruby-crowned Kinglet. I had wanted to see and photograph them for so long and was finally successful. This super tiny birds are swift jumpers and flyers so I feel lucky any of my shots came in focused.
The ruby crown in his head indicates this is a male.
