Snowy Day at the Feeder - Video
/Snow here has been a rarity. The Finches and their friends had a feast during the storm last weekend.
Chipping Sparrrow
/2020 certainly had more bird photographers using their backyards as a canvas, I among them but it wasn’t new for me, I have been shooting in the backyard for years. It is convenient and such a great way to relax for an hour to two, sometimes a bit too convenient as I easily get distracted when cleaning, cooking, etc. when I see the flutter of a bird through the windows or see a bunch of activity in my birding area. This little one was one of those distractions.

Yellow-billed Cuckoo - Life Bird
/Accidently got another Life Bird this week. I saw some movement outside my laundry room door so I grabbed my camera, slowly opened it and got these shots before the bird flew off. Not knowing what it was I searched my books and then Google, still didn’t find it so I asked on my birding groups on Facebook and the consensus was a Yellow-billed Cuckoo. He/she is very cute I will say.
Mr. Blue
/Male Blue Grosbeak who has spent the summer in our woods. I will miss the flash of his and the Mrs. Blue when they head off soon to Mexico for the winter.
At least they get to go somewhere for vacation ;)
